Background and objective: The location of fire stations is a vital factor in fighting fires. Therefore, it is one of the most strategic decisions that the officials face, because its optimal location will lead to the safety and well-being of the people. The purpose of this article is to locate the new fire station in Bandar Abbas with the approach of effectiveness in crisis situations and using the best and worst technique.
Method: The main data of the research were collected by Field method and researcher-made questionnaire and the statistical population of the study includes8 people managers and staff experts of the fire department and fire station officials in Bandar Abbas. Then the best and worst technique were used to analyze the data.
Findings: According to the results, it was found that Shahid Rajaei Boulevard has importance of 0.461 as the first priority, Then, Town of the Great Prophet and Shahid Bahonar wharf are in the second and third priority with the importance of 0.208 and 0.168 respectively and finally, Imam Hussein Boulevard (AS) with a significance of 0.163 is in the fourth priority.
Conclusion: The analyses indicate that by establishing a new station at the proposed location; while increasing the coverage radius, it will reduce the average time it takes for firefighters to reach the scene of the accident and provide timely services. This can lead to a desirable reduction in human and financial losses caused by accidents.
